My phone just sits. No body calling or texting. The phone just sits, saving the battery I suppose. I leave it on the night stand, and go about doing my list of chores. I pass it by on the night stand between long hours, hoping that the flat reflective screen will light up or I’ll see the small notification light flashing. I’ll slowly creep towards the phone in anticipation that I missed someone trying to reach me. Suddenly, I my shoulders slouch, and the blank phone asks me why I think anyone would be trying to talk to me. “It’s just a stupid phone”, I assure myself. Then I put the thin metallic box back on the night stand and return to my work.
